Yusuf Islam AKA Cat Stevens

May 7, 2008 / by A_Cherry2

Yusuf Islam AKA Cat Stevens has one amazing website.  When visiting this website I didn’t know what to expect, but was I caught by surprise of how nice and well put together it was.  The website is broken apart into four main categories: Sing, Think, Give, and Bazaar.  Each one of these led to a different section of the site.

The first one that I visited was Sing.  You enter a room full of music and objects.  Each object would lead to something else.  The first one that I noticed was the television which led to videos of interviews.  After watching that for a minute I went back into exploring the room.  The next thing I noticed was Mr. Ho Ho, who spits out a bunch of FAQ’s to the viewers.  All over the room there are things to click on which lead to his biography, audio, store, etc.

After Sing I went over to Think.  This page is devoted to Cat Stevens’ spiritual thoughts.  It advertises things like his peace book.  It gives a few good thoughts around the page.  Also there is a good amount of information on his spiritual journey.  This is all new information to me, and I found it pretty interesting.

Now I went back to the home page and then entered Give.  I like Give the most, because it shows that Cat Stevens has his own charity, Small Kindness.  I like the thought that people who have the ability to share what they have with others sometimes have the heart to actually do that.  Cat Stevens was someone that I didn’t know much about and now seeing this it made me like him.

I then tried to go to Bazaar, but that part isn’t ready yet.  So overall I enjoyed browsing Cat Stevens’ website.  It was really interesting and informative.  I hope that if anyone reading this who hasn’t visited the website will take the time and go check it out because it is pretty awesome.
